sees the opportunity in every difficulty”

Dear Members,
Congratulations! Can you believe that we were finally able to celebrate our 100-year anniversary?
For those that could not attend, the event was filled with a ton of club activity we have not seen in years; scholarship awards, SkillsUSA winners, Life Member Awards, 50-year Member Award, Craftsman of the year presentation and the storied passing of the gavel by all the past presidents in attendance. A highlight of the evening was our keynote speaker Travis Mlakar, who spoke passionately about the print industry, the importance of our club’s involvement in it, and what he believes the future may hold.
I am certain that everyone in the audience was (is) as excited as I am about what the future holds for our industry.
A special thank you to everyone who played a key role in putting this event together, especially the members of the 100-year committee, board of directors and Stewart Graham for installing the new officers and board members that will serve next year.
Our Annual Scholarship Golf Outing took place on Monday June 13th @ the Links of Novi, thank you to Jerry Jewell and his wife Cheryl for all their efforts in planning/hosting another successful event. We were blessed to have over 70 people in attendance committed to perpetuating our industry.
Upcoming Schedule of Events
On Tuesday July 26th we have scheduled our annual Detroit Tigers’ Game, the Tigers are hosting the Padres, the meeting venue is the Elwood Bar & Grill. Please access the website to sign-up for the event.
Summer Recess, I hope everyone enjoys a safe and healthy Summer!
Finally, it has been an honor serving as your President these past few years, thank you for your continued support throughout the most challenging times in our storied history. The fact that our club is in existence today and flourishing coming out of the COVID pandemic is a testament to every one of you. I am certain that you will continue to offer that support to your new officers and board members next year.
Yours in Craftsmanship,
Tony
Well said Mr. Pelc...
