John Pagels – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of long-time Craftsmen member and 41-year educator, John Pagels. John passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023 due to multiple health ailments. John was 83 years old. A former President of the Detroit Club of Printing House Craftsmen, a Detroit and International Craftsman of the Year, and multi-year board member, John showed his passion for education and the Craftsmen Club by providing guidance to many board members on the traditions of the board and the club in general. John’s influence and tutelage for the Craftsmen’s Club has been on display since his induction in 1967 and will continue to shine for many, many years to come.
Family and friends are invited to attend John’s visitation at Keehn-Griffin Funeral Home at 706 W. Main Street, Brighton, Michigan 48116 from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, October 6, 2023 and on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Service will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 11:30 AM also at Keehn-Griffin Funeral Home in Brighton. Burial will be at St. Patrick Calvary Cemetery in Brighton following the service.

Tara Borg – Tara Colleen Borg, 42, wife of Shawn Borg, President of Printwell Inc. and longtime Craftsman Club member, passed away September 29, 2023. Tara’s Community Farewell will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 4:00PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel with a gathering beginning at 12:00PM until the time of service. Gail Ann Johnson – Age 65, longtime resident of Novi, formerly of Detroit and Dearborn Heights, passed away September 13, 2023. Gail worked with her family, Greg Konczal, a long-time member of the Craftsman Club, as the Vice President of Sales for Accuform Printing and Graphics in Detroit. Known as the “Polish Printing Princess,” she had a gift for sales and truly loved what she did. For over 50 years, her hard work as a sales representative was reflected in how much her clients liked and respected her. Please keep the Konczal family in your prayers.
Russell Larry Masura – Age 82, Beloved husband of Judy Masura for 53 wonderful years. Loving father of Mike (Carol) Masura, Robin (Carl) Fecteau, and Marshan (Robb) Taylor. Russel passed away on July 6, 2023.
Russell was a longtime member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church in Redford for many years, which is where he married the love of his life. He was a successful owner of Dearborn Litho printing business and well known in the Detroit area. He enjoyed spending time on his boat at Higgins Lake with family and friends, hunting and was always dressed sharp. He was an avid dog lover but most of all just liked being surrounded by his family. He will be missed tremendously!
