Sad News - Richard Burr

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of long-time Craftsmen member Richard (Dick) Burr. Dick passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Dick was 93 years old. A four-time Craftsman of the Year and two-time President of the Detroit Club of Printing House Craftsmen, Dick truly inspired and represented Craftsmanship throughout his life. To say Dick Burr was an active Craftsmen member is an understatement. Dick continued to volunteer his time to the Craftsmen’s Club from his induction in 1958 until his passing in 2023.

Family and friends are invited to attend Dick’s visitation at Charles Step Funeral Home at 18425 Beech Daly, Redford, Michigan 48240 from 12:00-8:00 PM Monday, January 30, 2023 and 3:00-6:00 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2023 (Rosary at 6:00 PM). Dick’s funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 17116 Olympia, Redford, Michigan 48240 on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM followed by his burial at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan 48442 at 1:30 PM.

Dick will be greatly missed. May he Rest In Peace as he has joined our Master Craftsman. Please keep the Burr family in your thoughts and prayers.

Respectfully,

The DCPHC Board of Directors
